2021 marks the 50th anniversary of Explorer II since its release in 1971. This fifth-generation facelift has been slightly upgraded. Model 226570 replaces 216570. It also has white-faced Polar White Dial and black-faced Matte Black Dial, and is equipped with a new generation 3285 movement. The dynamic reserve is 70 hours, and the daily difference is plus or minus 2 seconds. There are very slight adjustments in the design. One is to narrow the lugs and slightly increase the width of the bracelet to adjust the overall visual proportion of the watch, solving the slightly top-heavy problem of the previous model. The second is to change the black color of the hands. The outer frame has been changed from glossy to matte. The relatively low-key gloss is more in line with the tool watch image of Explorer II; thirdly, the brand’s crown logo is added in the middle of the word SWISS MADE at 6 o’clock on the dial. Although there are no surprises in the revised version, it maintains the essence of Explorer II’s image and upgrades with the pace of the brand.
