Watch Maintenance
To maintain the accuracy and appearance of your watch for a lifetime, regular maintenance should be carried out. The interval for maintenance is influenced by many factors, such as the complexity of the movement, wearing habits, or climate – in principle, we recommend servicing every 3 years.
A full maintenance should include the following items:
Movement
- Disassemble the entire movement.
- Inspect the wear and damage of each component.
- Clean and lubricate all parts.
- Replace the hands and worn-out parts.
- Reassemble and check the functionality.
- Adjust the watch’s daily average rate.
- Verify all parameters according to Swiss standards.
Case and Metal Bracelet
- Clean and polish the case and metal bracelet.
- Replace the crown, waterproof gaskets, buttons, and calibration devices.
- Rebuild and check the water resistance.
Final Inspection
- Appearance
- Functionality
- Power Reserve and Power Storage
- Timekeeping Accuracy
Water Resistance
- Rebuilding and checking water resistance, including replacing all sealing materials
- If necessary, replacing the hands
- Cleaning the watch case and metal bracelet
